This includes preparing the lab and operating essential equipment such as fluoro imaging and digital image acquisition. The role ensures accurate documentation of patient information and hemodynamic measurements. Maintaining stringent aseptic technique and patient safety standards is essential. The Technologist I collaborates with the medical team to optimize patient care and departmental efficiency. They serve as the radiation safety representative during X-ray usage. Continual development of proficiency in specialized cath lab technologies is expected. Key Responsibilities: Meet expectations of applicable competencies. Promote organizational principles of healthcare. Ensure major equipment is operational and document as required for quality control. Participate in daily room checks and stocking of supplies. Access daily patient schedules and appropriate patient information for procedures. Ensure appropriate equipment, supplies, and room configuration for all procedures. Collaborate with the procedure team to ensure patient care and departmental efficiency. Document proper patient information into the cath lab computer and imaging systems. Ensure proper documentation of procedures, hemodynamic measurements, and ECG recognition. Safely secure appropriate patient positioning on procedure tables per procedure type. Train and complete competencies to operate cath lab equipment such as imaging and hemodynamic systems. Support physician needs and ensure patient safety during procedures. Adhere to aseptic technique during procedures and address any breaks in sterile technique. Follow organizational policies related to patient safety, privacy, infection control, and communication. Collaborate with team members to foster knowledge sharing and teamwork. Engage in patient transport as needed to support the department. Obtain and maintain proficiency in access site management. Act as radiation safety representative during X-ray usage. Perform fluoro imaging and digital image acquisition as directed. Adhere to attendance policy and departmental productivity standards.
