Are you ready to take your expertise as a cardiovascular technologist to new heights? Join our team as a cath lab tech (Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) and play a vital role on a team that values your expertise. Assist physicians and cath lab personnel in conducting diagnostic tests and procedures. Operate advanced imaging and hemodynamic equipment to capture crucial data of the heart and blood vessels.


What You'll Need:

  • ARRT certified Radiologic Technologist or RCIS certification preferred.
  • BLS and ACLS certification required.
  • At least 1 year of Cath Lab experience required. Preference given to candidates with vascular lab experience and exposure to interventional cases.
  • Experience with EPIC or other major EMR systems preferred.
  • Familiarity with hemodynamic monitoring systems, Siemens X-ray, Merge Hemo, and Philips monitors preferred.
  • State-specific licensing when required.


Minimum Requirements

  • Certifications: BLS and ACLS required. ARRT or RCIS required (one of these accepted).
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience in a hospital setting.
  • Clinical experience: Experience with cardiac catheterization procedures, diagnostic angiography, and assisting with interventional cardiac and vascular procedures preferred.
  • Technology: Experience using EPIC EMR required or strongly preferred.
  • Other: Must meet facility radius rule if applicable (traveler permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit).


Assignment Details

  • Facility type: Hospital.
  • Shift name: Days.
  • Shift details: 0700-1730.
  • Schedule: 4x10 schedule, 40 hours per week; schedule cycle every 4 weeks.
  • Duration: 13 week travel assignment.
  • Patient types: Cardiac, STEMI, Afib ablation, device placement, and vascular patients including lower extremity angiograms, EVAR, TAVR, and thrombolytic cases.
  • Call expectations: Vascular call back time 1 hour; STEMI call back time 30 minutes. Weekend and call rotation depend on department needs and are discussed during interview.
  • Orientation: New employee orientation plus 2 days departmental EPIC training and 1 day unit orientation.
  • Floating: No.
  • Holiday expectations: Travelers will work approximately 75% of holidays.
