Job Title: Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist Profession: Cath Lab Technologist Specialty: Cardiac Cath Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8H Days Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: 1 year(s) License: Not required Certifications: ARRT or RCIS registered, BLS Must-Have: Cath lab experience Experience with left heart caths, stent placement, ICD, and Pacemaker procedures Description: The position is for a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist. Candidates must be ARRT or RCIS registered and possess BLS certification. Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care. Refusal to comply with the fingernail policy may lead to termination of the contract. A driver's license is required. Candidates should have prior cath lab experience and be able to perform tasks such as monitoring and documentation. The candidate will scrub to assist the physician during procedures. Common patient diagnoses include CAD, AMI, and adult inpatient and outpatient cases. Shifts are scheduled from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. The role includes call responsibilities, covering 1-2 nights per week and 1 weekend per month. The candidate must be available for emergency callbacks within a response time of 30 minutes. Floating to other campuses may be required on occasion. Scrubs will be supplied by the hospital. Travelers will be oriented to multiple campuses, each requiring 1-3 days of orientation. The charge nurse will not take an assignment during shifts. Call requirements will be rotating, with a varying frequency of callbacks based on demand in the previous 30 days. Candidates should be centrally located for optimal response times.
