This role involves performing diagnostic examinations under the direction of an Interventional Cardiologist in an advanced healthcare setting. Key Responsibilities of the Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist
  • Perform diagnostic examinations during invasive cardiology, noninvasive cardiology, and peripheral vascular study procedures
  • Collect and record subjective data essential for anatomical and physiological diagnosis

Requirements of the Invasive Cardiovascular Technologist
  • Minimum of an Associate Degree or graduate of an approved Cardiovascular Training Program or from an accredited Allied Health Program
  • Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) required
  • At least 2 years of experience in the cardiovascular specialty
  • Must obtain and maintain certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Adult Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
