Are you ready to apply your expertise as a Cath Lab Technologist in Reno, NV. Join a hospital-based interventional team and support physicians in diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures while operating advanced imaging equipment and ensuring patient safety.
What You'll Do:
- Operate interventional imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Assist interventional cardiologists, vascular surgeons, and interventional radiologists as first assist during procedures.
- Set up and maintain sterile trays and sterile field. Circulate and assist with manipulation of drains, lines, and suturing as needed.
- Verify and execute physician orders, prepare patients for procedures, and monitor patient safety throughout examinations.
- Perform procedural documentation, billing and imaging capture; participate in quality improvement activities and supply management.
- Float to other units or facilities as needed within competency limits.
Minimum Requirements:
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) R.T. (R) certification or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification required.
- Nevada State Radiation Control Program license or state-specific radiology license as required.
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab technologist experience in a hospital setting, including cath and EP experience for both scrubbing and panning the x-ray table.
- Demonstrated competency operating interventional imaging and related machinery and performing patient care across age groups from neonatal to geriatric.
- Must be able to pick up one additional shift during the schedule period and participate in scheduled call rotations per departmental requirements.
- Preferred: Prior experience with rotating 4x10 schedules and call coverage patterns.

- Schedule expectations: 4x10, rotating shifts, Monday through Friday as outlined by the facility.
- Call requirements: approximately one weeknight call and one weekend call shift (Saturday or Sunday) every five weeks as part of rotation.
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 40.
- Floating: Travelers may be required to float to other areas based on organizational needs up to competency level.
