Job Title: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech Profession: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00-16:30 Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: State License required for RNs; ARRT or RCIS Certification required for Techs within 3 years of hire if not a Rad Technologist with ARRT. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and one of the following: State License for RNs or ARRT/RCIS Certification for Techs. Must-Have: BLS & ACLS Advanced skills needed for EP circulating, scrubbing, and monitoring (two of the listed skills required as a minimum). Description: This position is for a travel Cath Lab Tech. The work schedule will be from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The unit has two Cath lab rooms and an EP holding area. Patient ratios are typically 1:1 or 2:1. The staffing includes a director, charge RN, techs, and RNs. Equipment used includes GE fluoroscopy, Mac Lab, Acist, Volcano, IVUS, Angiojet, and Penumbra. Documentation is handled through Mac Lab and MediTech. Daily shifts may consist of 4-10 or 5-8 hour days, with potential for late stays and on-call rotation. Floating may be required to holding, EP lab, or other areas within the scope of practice. Required procedures performed include TAVR, Watchman, PCI, peripherals, Impella, and balloon pump.
