Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/IR position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience, Epic proficiency, and the ability to take call with a 30-minute response time.

  • Hospital-based Cath Lab unit
  • Interventional Radiology procedures performed, including angioplasty, chemoembolization, gastrostomy tube placement, liver ablation, paracentesis, percutaneous hepatic angiography, TIPS, nephrostomy, renal angiography, renal artery stent placement, uterine arterial embolization, carotid stenting, central venous access/port placement, dialysis graft creation and revision, endovascular interventions, stent graft placement, SVC/IVC venography, thoracic aortography, and upper/lower extremity angiography
  • Procedural sedation administration and monitoring required
  • Schedule is 4x10-hour day shifts, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM
  • On-call coverage required for off-shifts and weekends, with a 30-minute response time
  • Weekend and holiday coverage required as needed
  • Floating required as needed
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • May care for COVID-positive patients

Requirements

  • Active PA RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand — no license violations accepted
  • Current AHA or ARC certifications: BLS and ACLS
  • Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology (IR) experience
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate
  • Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility may be considered at a reduced rate

Additional Information

  • Manager interview required as part of the selection process
  • Candidates undergo a clinical review for fit prior to manager consideration
  • Where applicable, an EKG exam must be completed and passed — additional attempts are at the unit manager's discretion
  • Orientation modules are completed prior to the start date and generally take 5–6 hours to complete
  • This is a tobacco-free and fragrance-free facility
  • RTO is limited to a maximum of 7 days per contract
  • Travel pairs are accepted, though matched schedules cannot be guaranteed
