Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab RN for a Cardiology unit day-shift assignment requiring at least one year of cardiovascular lab or critical care experience and an active IL RN license.

Details

• Work in the Cardiology department, specifically the Cardiac Cath Lab, of a hospital setting
• Provide care to adult and geriatric patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures
• Unit provides OR/IR coverage
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m
• Requires a 30-minute on-call response time
• Call requirements include every 3rd weekend and at least 16 on-calls within a 6-week period

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• Current BLS (AHA) certification required
• Current ACLS certification required
• BSN preferred
• Minimum one year of hands-on clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab performing cardiac procedures or in a Critical Care setting required

Additional Information

• Deliver holistic, high-quality care addressing the physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs of patients before, during, and after cardiovascular procedures
• Collaborate closely with physicians, providing continuous updates on patient status throughout procedures
• Prepare and maintain procedure rooms, ensuring equipment is functioning and calibrated for use
• Manage case-specific supplies and inventory to support efficient Cath Lab workflow
• Monitor and interpret physiologic and hemodynamic data during procedures, responding quickly to changes
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of patient condition while in the Cardiovascular Lab
• Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travel candidates
