Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Cath Lab Educator role in an acute care hospital setting, requiring a minimum of 4 years of experience and a CA RN license.

  • Acute care hospital Cardiac Cath Lab setting
  • Role focuses on staff education, orientation, and training within the Cath Lab department
  • Cerner EMR in use
  • 13-week contract
  • 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday
  • Every other weekend required
  • First to float policy applies
  • No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

  • Active CA RN license required (pending licenses not accepted)
  • Current ACLS and BLS (AHA) certifications required (pending certifications not accepted)
  • Minimum 4 years of RN experience required
  • Background in critical care or procedural areas required
  • Prior educational or staff development experience required
  • Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
  • Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Serves as a mentor and educational resource for both nursing and radiology tech staff in the Cath Lab
  • Responsible for overseeing department orientation and training, and maintaining staff competency in quality patient care
  • Works closely with department leadership to assess and plan for staff development needs
  • Manager interview required
  • Candidates may not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year; candidates previously employed PRN through outside firms will be considered
