Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Case Manager for an acute hospital setting requiring prior charge and Case Management/Utilization Review experience.

Details

• Work in the Case Management department of an acute hospital
• Responsibilities include discharge planning, needs assessment, ordering DME, and developing plans of care
• Utilization review duties with regulatory experience related to CMS guidelines
• Evening shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM, Monday through Friday
• Travelers may be floated to any campus within the health system as needed

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required in hand at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior Charge nurse experience required
• Acute hospital experience required
• Experience in ICU, MS, PICU, SDU, PCU, IMC, or Obs specialties required
• Case Management and Utilization Review experience required
• Experience with CMS regulatory standards required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance (two attempts allowed)
• Current driver's license required to verify address

Additional Information

• Perform discharge planning, needs assessments, DME ordering, and plan of care coordination
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates within this radius will be considered
• RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application; no post-submission RTO requests accepted
• Candidates with open background check cases will not be considered
• Zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
• Compliance materials must be completed by 12 noon EST the Wednesday prior to the start date
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Community Hospital, LTAC, and Trauma Level I experience preferred
