Job Title: Cardiac Sonographer Profession: Radiology Specialty: Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (07:00 - 15:30) Experience: Minimum one year of cardiac experience required License: Registered in echocardiography (RCS or RDCS). Certifications: BLS American Heart Association ONLY Must-Have: - Graduate of an ultrasonography program required - ARDMS, ARDMS RDCS AE, BLS, CCI, CCI RCCS*, CCI RCS certifications required - Ability to administer ultrasound enhancement agents - Must be able to complete the expectation of seven scans per day - Must have telemetry exam passed with strict passing criteria Description: Days: 8-hour shifts, Monday - Friday, with rotational Saturday and Sunday shifts. Variable start times: 07:00, 07:30, 08:00, 08:30, or 09:00 AM. Possible call coverage, if needed. The candidate must have a minimum of one year of cardiac experience. The candidate must be registered in echocardiography (RCS or RDCS). BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required. The candidate must have the ability to complete seven scans per day. The job includes working with advanced ultrasound equipment and technology. Candidates will be part of a dynamic, collaborative environment. Clinical responsibilities will involve performing echo exams on a diverse patient population. Must be able to float as needed between various sites. Maintenance of pace and volume expectations is crucial. No references are required. Pass/fail testing will be conducted before starting the position. Strict passing criteria will be enforced for the telemetry exam. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and quality imaging.
