Job Title: Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer Profession: Radiology/Cardiology Specialty: Echo Tech/Cardiac Sonographer Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Hours Experience: Minimum one-year cardiac experience required. License: Registered in echocardiography (RCS or RDCS). Certifications: BLS American Heart Association ONLY. Must-Have: Graduate of an ultrasonography program required. ARDMS, RDCS AE, CCI, CCI RCCS*, CCI RCS certifications preferred. Description: Days, 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday with rotational Saturday and Sunday shifts. Variable start times: 7:00, 7:30, 8:00, 8:30, 9:00 AM. Possible call coverage, if needed. Minimum one-year cardiac experience required. Registered in echocardiography (RCS or RDCS). BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required. Graduate of an ultrasonography program required. Must be able to administer ultrasound enhancement agents. Join a team of highly skilled sonographers who are leaders in the field. Work in a dynamic, collaborative environment. Utilize the latest advanced ultrasound equipment and technology. Care for patients from pediatrics through adulthood across the care continuum. Must be able to complete the expectation of seven scans per day. Must meet expectations for pace and volume. Must have experience working with various echocardiogram procedures. Additional certifications in pediatric echocardiography are a plus. This position may include floating between different facilities. Candidates must be willing to comply with all testing and training requirements. Pass/fail testing will be a requirement prior to starting. Candidates should have experience in managing emergencies and arrhythmias. A strong background in echocardiographic practices is essential. A telemetry exam will be required prior to start. Candidates will have two attempts to pass the required telemetry exam. If necessary, certification verification may be required.
