Job Title: Cardiovascular Sonographer Profession: Clinical-Allied Specialty: N/A Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Cardiac Sonographer required. License: Required Certifications - BLS. One of the following is required: RDCS certified through ARDMS. RCS, ACS, and RCCS certified through CCI. Certifications: BLS, RDCS or equivalent. Must-Have: Experience in performing outpatient Echocardiograms. Previous experience with Epic required. Description: Demonstrates competence in delivering pre-procedure and post-procedure patient care. Includes patient assessment pre- and post-procedure care and emergency cardiac care. CPR certification is required. Assistance with post-procedure transport may be necessary. Ensures equipment is calibrated and properly maintained daily. Performs and records all equipment maintenance and quality assurance monitoring. Troubleshoots and identifies any equipment problems and reports to the appropriate supervisor. Generates ultrasound images of the heart and/or vascular related structures. May perform staff training and education. Monitors and records patient information and maintains report storage and data systems. Compiles and enters data necessary for charge entry and prepares reports. Responsible for retrieval of stored information and reports from the automated storage system. Prepares the procedure room and equipment for daily use. Responsible for timely and efficient room preparation between procedures.
