Job Title: Cardiac Sonographer Profession: Allied Specialty: Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8hr Day Shift Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Cardiac Sonographer Certifications: BLS; RDCS (ARDMS) OR RCS or ACS (Advanced Cardiac Sonographer through CCI) Must-Have: Skills in 2D, Doppler, color flow, 3D, strain, and contrast studies. Description: The Cardiac Sonographer is responsible for performing echocardiograms and other cardiac diagnostic procedures. Average daily volume includes 110 transthoracic echocardiograms across all areas. Additional procedures include 14 stress echocardiograms per day and 5-6 transesophageal echocardiograms. The position requires experience with advanced TTE, TEE, stress echo, and dobutamine stress echo studies. Patient populations may include individuals with heart failure and those undergoing chemotherapy and renal transplant evaluations. The role includes collaboration with a dedicated cardiac ultrasound educator and chief sonographer. Candidates should have preferred skills in stress echo and interventional procedures. IV management training is also preferred. The department features a high-quality, fast-paced environment focused on patient and family care.
