Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU position requiring 2 years of pediatric hospital experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Cardiovascular Pediatric ICU (CVPICU) of a children's hospital
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• Floating required to NICU, PICU, ED, stepdown, and Medical-Surgical units as needed
• Must comply with facility float expectations and accept appropriate assignments in other units

Requirements

• Active OH State or Compact RN license in hand
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of CVPICU or PICU experience required in a pediatric hospital setting
• ECMO, VAD (LVAD/RVAD), and CRRT experience preferred
• Experience with congenital heart disease/repair and post-cardiac surgery care preferred
• Skilled in ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and care of ventilated patients
• Proficient in arterial line management, central line care, and IV therapy
• Experience managing dysrhythmias and hemodynamic monitoring
• Two professional references required, at least one from a supervisor or manager

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to pediatric patients with complex cardiovascular conditions
• Care for patients requiring respiratory support, cardiac monitoring, and post-surgical management
• Administer emergency medications including IV vasopressors and continuous sedation
• Practice isolation precautions and appropriate PPE use for infectious disease control
• Must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted for this RN position
• Candidates who have worked in a permanent role at this facility within the last 2 years are not eligible
• First-time travelers may be considered if minimum experience requirements are met
