Description

American Traveler is hiring a Float Pool M/S Tele RN with 2+ years of acute care and travel experience, requiring willingness to float across 8 units and an active MA RN license.

Details

• Float pool position covering 8 different Med/Surg Telemetry units within the hospital, including Davenport 5, 7, 8, and 9, the ED, PH6/7, Pingree 4, and Overflow
• Care for ED border patients, serve as medication nurse in the acute mental health unit, and care for non-vented, transfer-ready ICU patients
• Facility has 371 total beds with unit census ranging from 8 to 41 beds
• Clinician to patient ratios up to 5:1 on Days/Eves and up to 6:1 on Nights
• 36 hours per week on a rotating Days/Eves schedule with every other weekend required
• 1 to 3 rotations to Nights required per contract
• Uses EPIC EMR for charting
• Free on-site parking available

Requirements

• Active Massachusetts RN license required (no conditional licenses accepted)
• Current BLS certification (AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military accepted)
• 2 years of acute care hospital experience in one location required
• 2 years of experience working as a Traveler required
• Telemetry monitoring experience required, including measuring intervals and interpreting strips every 4 hours
• TR Band experience required
• Experience performing cardiac drips and reading tele strips required
• 2 years of cardiac monitoring and cardiac drip experience preferred

Additional Information

• Must be willing to float to 8 different Med/Surg Telemetry units throughout the hospital
• Flu vaccine required during flu season with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
• Local candidates must reside within 60 miles of the facility and will receive a reduced rate
• RTO must be disclosed at the time of consideration for the role
