Are you ready to take your expertise as a cardiovascular technologist to new heights. Join a hospital in Houston, TX as a Cath Lab Tech (Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) and play a vital role on a team that values your expertise while working with advanced imaging systems. Support physicians and Cath Lab staff during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures and operate Siemens, GE, and Philips imaging equipment to capture diagnostic images and hemodynamic data.




What You'll Do


  • Assist interventional cardiologists during diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac catheterization procedures.
  • Operate and troubleshoot fluoroscopic imaging systems from Siemens, GE and Philips.
  • Prepare procedural rooms, sterile instruments, and equipment; perform pre/post procedure patient care in cath lab and pre/post areas.
  • Monitor patient hemodynamics and assist with device setup, contrast administration, and specimen handling.
  • Document procedures and images in the EMR (Merge).
  • Participate in unit-specific protocols, clinical trials, and structural heart cases as required.



Minimum Requirements


  • RCIS or ARRT certification required.
  • Experience in a hospital Cath Lab setting preferred; client indicates preference for candidates with Interventional Radiology and Cath Lab pre/post experience.
  • Familiarity with structural heart procedures and clinical trials preferred.
  • BLS and ACLS certification preferred.
  • Ability to work in Texas and meet state licensing requirements.
  • Ability to work the facility dress code of royal blue scrubs.
  • Availability for every other weekend and one weekday on-call rotation as per unit schedule.
  • Preferred attributes: self-motivated and team-focused.



Assignment Details


  • Facility type: Hospital.
  • Shift: Days.
  • Shift hours: 07:00–17:00.
  • Typical hours of operation: Monday–Friday 07:00–17:00 with after-hours and weekend on-call coverage.
  • Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab. Procedures include heavy structural cases and structural heart interventions, including participation in clinical trials.
