Job Summary:
Critical Care Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Alexandria, Louisiana. This position involves providing nursing care in a high-volume cardiac catheterization laboratory setting, with responsibilities including assessment, medication administration, patient education, and ongoing clinical management. The selected candidate will work independently in a fast-paced environment, ensuring patient safety and effective care delivery.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred; 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred; RN License in the state of employment or a compact license; BLS from AHA required; ACLS from AHA required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in critical care settings preferred but will accept new graduates.
- Additional Information: All newly hired experienced registered nurses must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire. New hires are precepted by designated trained staff, with onboarding requirements validated through successful completion of organizational entry competency validation and critical care department-specific competency validation. Completion of all annual competency verification requirements is mandatory. The position involves caring for patients with cardiac caths, peripherals, TAVR, devices, etc., with the possibility of temp-to-perm employment.
