Interventional Radiology Angiographer – Travel Assignment

? Job Summary

The Angiographer in Interventional Radiology performs advanced diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures to support patient diagnosis and treatment. This role involves assisting physicians during minimally invasive vascular procedures, ensuring high-quality imaging, patient safety, and procedural efficiency.

You will work in a fast-paced, high-tech environment supporting critical procedures such as stroke intervention, embolization, biopsies, and complex vascular cases.

? Key Responsibilities

  • Perform patient preparation, identification, and procedural verification
  • Operate advanced imaging equipment for interventional procedures
  • Assist physicians during IR procedures (circulating, scrub, or monitoring roles)
  • Maintain sterile technique and radiation safety protocols
  • Provide patient positioning, education, and comfort during procedures
  • Ensure accurate documentation including imaging records and time stamps
  • Manage and maintain interventional supplies and equipment
  • Assist with patient transport and workflow coordination
  • Apply hemostasis techniques post-procedure when required
  • Support radiation safety compliance and monitoring

? Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology or Vascular experience
  • ARRT certification (required)
  • Active Utah State Radiologic Technologist License
  • BLS (AHA required)
  • Experience in Angio / Interventional procedures strongly preferred

  • Stroke, embolization, biopsy, and vascular procedure experience
  • Strong knowledge of interventional supplies and imaging systems
  • Ability to function as scrub, circulating, or monitoring technologist
  • Strong communication and teamwork in high-pressure environments
  • Experience with radiation safety and imaging protocols
