Job Title: Anesthesia Technician Profession: Anesthesia Technician Specialty: Anesthesiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8H Day, Evening Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Not required Certifications: BLS Certification, Certified Anesthesia Technician (Cer.A.T.) via ASATT, Certified Anesthesia Technologist (Cer.A.T.T.) via ASATT Must-Have: Peds experience preferred, experience with GE anesthesia machines and Mindray, and first-time travelers welcome. Description: Seeking an Anesthesia Technician to join our team in the Surgery Department. The unit supports a variety of surgical suites and requires multitasking skills. Key responsibilities include cleaning anesthesia machines, setting up circuits, and conducting anesthesia machine checks. Additional duties encompass inventory management and restocking supplies. Technicians will assist with art line setups and support CRNAs. Responding to codes such as OB Stat and Trauma Alerts is also part of the role. A welcoming environment is fostered, with a strong emphasis on support and flexibility. It is important to have a positive attitude and willingness to collaborate with a team. Charge nurses and supervisors are available to provide guidance. The department operates with anesthesiologists and CRNAs available 24/7. Shifts may include weekends, with holiday requirements in place unless prior time-off is approved. Call is offered but not mandatory, with a 30-minute response time required. There may be rare instances of floating within the department. Scrubs and lockers are provided; technicians should bring their own OR shoes and caps. Three shifts of department-specific orientation will be provided for new hires.
