Job Title: Anesthesia Technician Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Anesthesia Tech Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30); Night 3x12-Hour (19:30 - 07:00) Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years required License: Required Certifications: CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA, BLS, ACLS preferred Must-Have: - Supply knowledge - Ability to pick cases - Self-motivated team player Description: The Anesthesia Technician will work in a dynamic surgical environment. The average surgical case volume is 65. The average daily tray volume is 1200. The department specializes in Neuro, Ortho, robotics, and some pediatrics. Normal service lines also include URO, general, and GYN. Candidates must have supply knowledge and the ability to pick cases. We are looking for self-motivated individuals who are great team players. This is a unique department as it operates as a teaching facility. The orientation consists of three days, transitioning to their contracted shifts thereafter. All technicians will work rotating weekends unless otherwise specified. Travelers may float to various units within the facility. The environment includes a Level II trauma center with multiple specialties. Knowledge of difficult airway supplies and anesthesia machines is essential. Candidates should be prepared for collaboration in an interdisciplinary team. Daily census averages 55 patients. The facility accommodates a diverse patient demographic, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Knowledge of trauma protocols and specific procedures is crucial. All travelers are expected to adapt and float between various units as necessary.
