Trauma Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (NP or PA)

About Us:<\/span><\/b> <\/span>Surgical Affiliates Management Group is excited to invite a dedicated Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our Trauma/Acute Care Surgery (ACS) program. This position is based at The Hospitals of Providence Memorial Campus, a prominent 500-bed Level III Trauma Center located in El Paso, TX. Role Summary:<\/span><\/b> <\/span>As a crucial member of our Trauma/ACS team, you will engage in managing a variety of trauma-related cases and acute care surgery needs. This role requires a dynamic PA or NP who thrives in high-pressure environments and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care without the responsibilities of elective surgical procedures.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>

Key Responsibilities:<\/span><\/b>

<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>

• Provide comprehensive care to trauma and surgical emergencies.<\/span>

<\/li>

• Manage inpatient care including rounding, and occasionally handle new consults and trauma activations.<\/span>

<\/li>

• Participate in the post-operative clinic to ensure continuity of care.<\/span>

<\/li>

• Perform bedside procedures and assist in surgical operations as required.<\/span>

<\/li>

• Build and maintain effective communication and rapport with patients and team members.<\/span>

<\/li>

• Four 10-hour shifts with 4 weeks off per year.<\/span>

Requirements<\/h3>Active Texas PA or NP license.<\/span>

<\/li>Experience in Trauma/Acute Care Surgery a plus. <\/span><\/span>

<\/li>Capable of handling the intense demands of a trauma center and acute care setting.<\/span>

<\/li>Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.<\/span>

<\/li>Demonstrated ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.<\/span>
