Provide non-emergency transportation of patients and assume responsibility for various errands.
Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- High school diploma or equivalency degree.
- Good communication skills.
- Able to maintain a strict level of confidentiality.
Required Length and Type of Experience
- Must hold a current valid drivers license as required by the state.
- Must have an excellent driving record as verified by the state Department of Motor Vehicles.
Required Licensure or Certification
- Must satisfactorily complete CPR and first-aid training provided by Glenbeigh, or provide a certificate indicating prior successful completion of such training.
Required Physical and Environmental Demands
- Hearing and vision abilities within normal range, corrected to drive safely and to observe and communicate with patients.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and position patients frequently.
- Ability to perform considerable reaching, stooping, and bending.
Potential Exposure
- Need to handle emergency or crisis situations.
- Exposure to a variety of weather conditions.
- Potential exposure to the risk of blood-borne diseases.
