Transportation Technician (Overnight Shift / TMC Dispatcher)

Required:

• Must be local to Knoxville, TN or surrounding counties (100% On-Site role).
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills (email, phone, multi-line systems).
• Strong general computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, MS Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Dedicated availability to work the fixed overnight schedule (Tue–Fri nights).

Highly Preferred:

• Previous experience in Dispatch, Call Center, or Control Room environments.
• Strong background in Customer Service and team collaboration.

Pre-Employment Screening: Selected candidates will be required to complete a standard background check (7-year county/statewide search, address history, federal, national criminal, and sex offender registry) prior to onboarding.

• Actively observe roadway conditions using CCTV cameras, detection systems, and advanced traffic management software.

• Maintain operational knowledge of traffic equipment, computers, software, and multi-line communication systems.
• Manage real-time communications via phone and email across partner organizations during regional traffic events.
• Follow standard operating procedures for routine incident management and escalate complex issues to control room supervisors.
