Iteris is looking for a Transportation Systems Program Engineer to support the North Carolina DOT TSMO Program. The ideal candidate will work on-site at North Carolina DOT Statewide Traffic Management Center in Raleigh, NC and provide TSMO Program Support as directed by NCDOT. The Engineer will be responsible for tasks related to TSMO program for North Carolina DOTReview and analyze TSMO performance dataStrategic planningProgram implementation supportOversee TIM related contractsConduct research on best practices nationallyDevelop guidance documentsManage multiple projectsConduct analysis and researchProduce documentsTraining program curriculumCommunicate with clientTraining curriculum developmentSupporting TSMO and Traffic Operations programsThis position will work on-site at North Carolina DOT Statewide Traffic Management Center, 1636 Gold Star Drive, Raleigh, NC 27607
What you need to be successful in this role:
Bachelor's of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related field requiredAn Engineer in Training certification (EIT) is preferredMinimum 3 years experience in Traffic Incident Management, Traffic Management, TSMO, ITS, Traffic Engineering, or Transportation Design andPlanningExperience providing Program Support to a transportation clientExperience applying transportation engineering and/or planning principles such as design criteria, project goals, and specifications and standardsAbility to communicate effectively orally and in writing with project teamAbility to effectively plan and schedule workIdeal candidate is preferred to be located within the Raleigh, NC metro area
Iteris anticipates paying a base salary between $81,700 and $90,900 for this role. Actual pay offered may be below or above these amounts, depending on the individual's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
