Sinton ISD is seeking a highly motivated and service-oriented Transportation Supervisor to lead the daily operations of the district's transportation department. This position provides leadership and oversight for student transportation services, fleet operations, safety compliance, driver supervision, and transportation planning to ensure students are transported safely, efficiently, and on time.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate daily transportation operations.
  • Develop and maintain bus routes and schedules.
  • Supervise transportation personnel, including driver recruitment, training, evaluation, and performance management.
  • Oversee fleet maintenance, inspections, and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all TEA, DOT, and district transportation regulations.
  • Coordinate extracurricular and special event transportation.
  • Investigate transportation incidents and safety concerns.
  • Assist with department budgeting, purchasing, and operational planning.
  • Coordinate transportation services during emergencies and weather-related events.

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Texas Driver's License
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to supervise personnel and manage daily operations

Preferred

  • Associate's degree
  • School transportation experience
  • Supervisory experience
  • Experience in transportation, fleet operations, logistics, or a related field
  • CDL with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements or ability to obtain
