A multi-discipline engineering firm with over 50 years in business is looking for a Senior Transportation Project Manager for their Milwaukee office! This is a hybrid position that includes in office work three days a week and remote work two days per week.
Responsibilities:
Lead transportation infrastructure projects
Establish work plans/staffing for projects
Coordinate engineer, technician, and production staff activities
Prepare reports, specifications, and communications
Assist with business development
Conduct meetings with internal teams and clients
Supervise design/technical development
Ensure project goals are met within time/budget constraints
Ensure projects are delivered profitably
Prepare design calculations/plans for a variety of design projects
Collaborate with engineers, designers, and technicians
Mentor/train junior staff
Travel to client meetings as needed
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with an emphasis on transportation or highway design
8+ years of highway design/plan development or related transportation experience
5+ years of experience managing multi-disciplined projects
PE License in the State of Wisconsin; registration in two or more states preferred
Strong working knowledge of the project development process
Previous business development experience
Ability to write descriptive/technically accurate proposals, specifications, and reports
Ability to participate in, facilitate, or lead project team meetings
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
Experience working with MicroStation and/or OpenRoads
Experience collaborating with a multi-disciplined team of highway design, traffic, bridge (structural), and water resources engineering professionals preferred
Working knowledge of Wisconsin DOT design/plan standards preferred
