The ideal candidate will have expertise or an interest in furthering their career focused on planning, engineering design, and construction of transportation infrastructure for public agencies. The successful candidate will prepare and review plans, technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates related to a variety of transportation projects. Project Engineers also mentor and supervise the work of technical support personnel assigned to the project.LocationThis position has the opportunity for a flexible hybrid work schedule with the option to sit out of our offices in Omaha, NE, Bellevue, NE, Lincoln, NE, or Grand Island, NE.Key Projects Across NebraskaSome examples of past and current projects that our Roadway team is working on:Lincoln South Beltway: Benesch served as the lead consultant for the $352 million Lincoln South Beltway project in Nebraska, providing environmental assessment, design, geotechnical services, and construction support. The project completed Lincoln's circumferential transportation network, improving regional connectivity and reducing urban congestion through 43 miles of roadway, 23 bridges, and multiple interchanges.US-81: This project is ongoing and will expand the corridor to a four-lane expressway between York and Columbus. Benesch is the lead consultant and responsible for providing roadway and bridge design.US-26: This project is ongoing and will focus on expanding the corridor to a four-lane expressway between Minatare and US-385.
