The Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) Program Management and Administration is looking for a Transportation Planner 1 to help us Keep Alaska Moving!

Depending on the selected applicant, this position can be filled in Juneau, Anchorage or Fairbanks. Salary information is listed below:

Anchorage - $3,239.25 / Bi-weekly (non-overtime eligible)

Fairbanks - $3,336.75 / Bi-weekly (non-overtime eligible)

Juneau- $3,401.25 / Bi-weekly (non-overtime eligible)

What you will be doing:

Step into a role that helps shape the future of Alaska's communities. Under the guidance of the Program Management Chief, this position serves as a key grants coordinator within the Program Management and Administration Division.

In this role, you'll help maximize federal funding coming into Alaska and support communities statewide as they pursue both federal and state funding opportunities. You'll work closely with internal teams and external partners to coordinate the department's response to federal grant opportunities, elevate Alaska's competitiveness, and ensure communities understand the department's available state-funded programs.

You'll also take an active role in preparing and submitting federal grant applications (including through Grants.gov) and assist in developing and managing competitive state-funded programs designed to support vital projects across Alaskan communities.
