Job Description
Are you energized by collaborating with others, solving complex challenges and improving how transportation projects are delivered across Michigan? Do you enjoy serving as the connection between project managers and technical teams while using data to drive informed decisions? This position offers the opportunity to serve as the Michigan Department of Transportation's (MDOT) statewide technical expert for project scheduling for the project development phase, partnering with project managers, specialty units, department leadership, and external stakeholders to support successful project delivery. Youll analyze statewide project data, identify opportunities for improvement, develop reports and documentation that support both department leadership and Michigans contracting community, and help communicate the impact of MDOTs transportation program at conferences and industry events.

Required Education and Experience
Education
Possession of a bachelor of science degree in engineering.
Possession of a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering, preferred.
Experience
Four years of professional experience equivalent to a Transportation Engineer, including two years equivalent to a Transportation Engineer P11 or one year equivalent to a Transportation Engineer 12 or Transportation Engineer Licensed 12.

Vacation and Sick Leave: Eligible full-time employees receive between 15 and 35 personal days and 13 sick days per year that may be rolled over to the following year if not used. Eligible employees also receive an additional day each year for community service or school functions.
Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees can take 12 weeks of paid leave immediately after a birth or adoption to allow needed time together at home with a new child.
