Position Summary:
The Transportation Dispatcher is responsible for dispatching drivers to pick up and drop off Guests, UAIC Tribal Members, and Thunder Valley Executives. The Transportation Dispatcher will also assist in vehicle record keeping and tracking of vehicle usage. Responsibilities must be performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.
Essential Functions:
Practice, support, and promote Thunder Valley Casino Resort's "ELITE" company-wide service mission and demonstrate AAA Four Diamond service standards at all times.
Answer all Guest and Team Member phone calls regarding Transportation.
Coordinate transportation needs with other departments within Thunder Valley including, but not limited to, Player Development, Hotel, and Executive.
Dispatch drivers effectively and efficiently in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Track and log vehicle usage and assist in billing when necessary.
Assist Valet and Transportation Management with departmental paperwork and functions as needed.
Communicate and coordinate with vendors to ensure vehicle fleet is washed and maintained.
Drive vehicles as needed for the purposes of transporting department Drivers and Guests.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school education or equivalent preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
Computer proficiency is required.
Ability to multi-task effectively without losing attention to detail.
Ability to think critically and make quick decisions.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have a valid CA driver's license.
Must be able to obtain UAIC Tribal Gaming License.
Physical Requirements:
Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
Ability to sit at a desk for extended time periods.
Requires walking, reaching, turning, bending, lifting, carrying, observing, and hearing.
Requires manual dexterity to use job related equipment.
Work Conditions:
Work is typically in an office environment. Work will also be conducted outdoors, including during periods of inclement weather. Work may be conducted in the casino, which may be hot, cold, noisy, and in the presence of secondhand smoke. Team Members may be required to stand, walk, lift, reach, push, pull and grasp. These tasks include the maintenance and care of an assigned area. Team Member must possess proper safety training in the use of chemicals. Frequent contact with fellow Team Members and Guests is standard.
