Farmers Against Hunger is a non-profit produce rescue organization that moves fresh New Jersey produce off the farms in NJ to distribute to underserved populations. Farmers Against Hunger is looking for a Transportation Coordinator.\n \nJob Duties\n\n Drive produce from farms across the state of NJ to food pantries, food banks, and distribution sites.\n Conduct pre-trip inspections on trucks to ensure they are fit to drive safely and legally.\n Load and unload produce from trucks using a forklift.\n Operate pallet jacks and lift gates to move produce off trucks.\n General maintenance of the facility and grounds.\n Strong communication skills with Partners at all levels, Farmers Against Hunger Team, and Management.\n Ability to work in a small team environment.\n Reports to Logistics Coordinator.\n \nExperience\n\n Experience driving 22-foot box trucks.\n Operate pallet jacks and lift gates to move produce off trucks.\n Operate a forklift.\n Have the ability to lift 50+ pounds.\n \nRequired\n\n Must possess a clean and valid driver's license (CDL not required)\n Successfully fulfill the requirements for the DOT physical evaluation.\n \n$22 per hour\n \nMonday-Friday with some Saturday mornings.
