Position Summary

The Transportation Coordinator plays an important role in helping our program run smoothly by coordinating safe and reliable transportation for participants while supporting the daily operations of the ADDT program. This position works closely with drivers, staff, participants, and families to ensure excellent communication and dependable service each day.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and managing daily transportation routes and schedules to ensure participants arrive safely and on time. This position maintains clear and professional communication with drivers, staff, participants, and families regarding transportation needs and updates while providing support to transportation staff as needed. Responsibilities also include maintaining accurate transportation records, logs, and required documentation, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and agency policies, and monitoring vehicle maintenance schedules by reporting repairs or safety concerns promptly. In addition, the Transportation Coordinator assists with the daily coordination of program activities, helps maintain attendance and scheduling records, and provides friendly, professional, and dependable customer service to participants and families.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Experience in transportation coordination, scheduling, or human services preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus
  • Basic computer and Microsoft Office skills preferred
