Long Road Transportation LLC seeks a Transportation Compliance Coordinator in Kent, Washington.
Perform transportation compliance coordination activities for bonded cargo movement using established company procedures and checklists, under supervisor direction and, when applicable, licensed customs broker guidance. Review and organize in-bond and related CBP cargo-movement documentation for motor-carrier operations, including paperwork completeness, document controls, and record retention. Coordinate in-bond shipment paperwork packets and SOP-based filing support steps per established instructions. Track CBP filing and status milestones, including acknowledgments, holds, follow-up actions, and closure updates, and route non-routine matters to brokers, supervisors, and operations for resolution.
Coordinate procedural compliance checkpoints for drayage, transload/cross-dock, and carrier handoff stages of in-bond movement. For in-bond handoff or transit-transfer scenarios, review receiving/transit motor-carrier qualification files and required FMCSA-related records, including authority, insurance, and safety status, report exceptions to supervisors, and track corrective follow-up completion before release/transfer. Maintain customs-compliance and in-bond tracking logs, filing records, and correction history files.
Requires 24 months of experience in transportation compliance coordination in logistics operations involving CBP in-bond paperwork, SOP-based filing/status tracking, and FMCSA carrier qualification record review for cargo handoff.
No degree, training, license/certification, foreign language, or alternative requirement is required.
Occasional local travel within King County / Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue area, as needed, to visit regulatory agencies for in-person compliance paperwork or follow-up; no relocation; no unanticipated worksites.
Wage: $63,856 per year.
