The Transport Services Outreach and Business Development Coordinator reporting to the Vice President of Nursing is pivotal at Beacon Health System. This position coordinates and enhances air and ground transport programs and services across the regional community. The role involves representing marketing and promoting these programs to healthcare organizations and municipal emergency service providers. A key responsibility includes establishing and maintaining strong referral relationships and communication channels with regional hospital medical and ancillary staff members. Managing outreach programs and transport services at referral hospitals and continually developing referral relationships between area hospitals and Beacon Health System.Conducting on-going evaluations of the transport needs of referral hospitals by regular visits surveys and telephone communications. Taking action when necessary to maximize Beacon referral hospital relationships.Coordinating feedback to referral hospital staff through dialogue letters and reports.Organizing regular transport case review conferences at referral hospitals for medical and nursing staff.Serving as a key liaison between the network of referral hospitals physicians and staff and municipal emergency service providers responding to common inquiries or complaints.Responding to all referring hospitals when transport-related issues are identified and implementing service recovery and support promptly.Facilitating physician-to-physician communications as indicated to resolve issues or provide support.Informing the Medical Director Director and Manager of issues that are not promptly resolved or are indicative of significant trends.Coordinating revisions to existing contracts between transport vendors and Beacon Health System.Represents markets and promotes safeefficient transport of Adult Pediatric Neonatal and Maternal programs across all service lines byContributing to the establishment of marketing goals to ensure share of market and profitability of programs andor services.Assisting with the development and execution of marketing plans and programs both short and long range to ensure profit growth and expansion of programs andor services.Researching analyzing and monitoring financial competitive and demographic factors so that market opportunities may be capitalized on and effects of competitive activity may be minimized.Performing a key role in decision making processes related to the marketing packaging and promotion of these services utilizing a variety of media.Coordinating advertising and promotional activities with internal Market Communications Department.Assisting with the effective control of marketing results and recommending corrective action to ensure that marketing objectives are achieved within designated budgets.Assisting in developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders conducting regular meetings and listening and attending to the diverse needs of the regional community.Preparing marketing activity reports.Participating in various community-related activities as appropriate.Contributes to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the department byCompleting other job-related assignments and special projects as through the successful completion of a Bachelors Degree in Business Management or related field and three years of related professional experience in a healthcare organization or emergency medical service environment.Knowledge & SkillsRequires knowledge of health care services needed in the implementation of emergency medical service programs.Demonstrates organizational and managerial skills of
