Transmission Line EngineerWork on high-profile transmission and grid modernization initiatives. Collaborate with experienced technical leaders across multidisciplinary teams.Our client is a nationally recognized engineering and infrastructure consulting organization supporting critical power and utility initiatives across North America. As energy demand continues to increase through grid expansion, electrification, renewable integration, and large-scale infrastructure development, they are growing their Power Delivery team and seeking a Transmission Line Engineer.Perform engineering and design activities for overhead transmission line projects ranging from approximately 69kV-765kV. Support development of: route evaluations and line siting support, transmission line plans and profiles, structure spotting and optimization, pole and tower loading analysis, conductor and shield wire selection, sag and tension calculations, foundation loading coordination, construction packages and material development. Prepare engineering calculations and technical documentation supporting transmission system design and reliability requirements. Coordinate with Civil, Structural, Substation, Environmental, Survey, and Construction teams throughout project execution. Support preparation of project schedules, scopes, budgets, and engineering deliverables. Participate in design reviews, constructability assessments, and quality control processes. Support procurement activities and technical coordination with vendors and utility stakeholders. Communicate project status, risks, and technical recommendations to project leadership and clients. Mentor junior engineers and designers while supporting technical development across project teams. Provide field engineering and construction support as required.A successful Transmission Line Engineer should have: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related engineering discipline. 3+ years of experience supporting transmission line engineering and project execution. Experience supporting utility, consulting, EPC, or infrastructure environments. Understanding of transmission engineering standards and utility design practices. Experience with engineering and design platforms such as PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, PLS-TOWER, AutoCAD, MicroStation (preferred).
