Are you a Transmission Line Engineer looking for the flexibility of a remote role while working on impactful utility infrastructure projects? Join a collaborative engineering team where you"ll help design, analyze, and deliver transmission line projects that keep the power grid reliable and communities connected.
This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer who enjoys both the technical challenges of transmission design and the opportunity to lead projects, collaborate with clients, and contribute to the development of junior team members. You"ll work on projects spanning 12 kV to 765 kV transmission systems, partnering with experienced engineers, designers, and utility clients to successfully deliver critical energy infrastructure projects from concept through construction.

As a Transmission Line Engineer, you"ll play a key role in the successful delivery of utility transmission projects, supporting all phases of engineering, design, and project execution.

What You"ll Bring
Required Qualifications
Bachelor"s Degree in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
2-5 years of experience in transmission line engineering and utility infrastructure projects.
Experience designing transmission line projects from concept through completion.
Proficiency with PLS-CADD for transmission line design and analysis.
Experience using MicroStation and AutoCAD.
Strong understanding of:
Transmission line routing
Structural design
Foundation design
Utility standards and regulations
Material specifications and procurement
Experience developing project estimates, scopes, and bills of materials.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders.

This is a Contract position based out of Birmingham, AL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
