Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Design distribution and sub-transmission lines ranging from 12 to 69kV for line engineering projects, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, standards, and codes. This includes specifying components such as poles, conductors, insulators, and equipment.
  • Utilize software tools like Pole Foreman to conduct pole loading analysis.
  • Conduct field data collection on poles and ground-based equipment.
  • Perform various calculations including fusing coordination, voltage drops, transformer loading, and project estimates.
  • Track and maintain workflow progress using Maximo.
  • Develop bill of materials for assigned projects.
  • Proficient in methodical and analytical problem-solving techniques with demonstrated critical thinking skills.
  • Focus on collaboration with team members and strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, and organization.

Requirements:

  • Three (3) years experience required.
  • Strong focus on collaboration with team members and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficient in CAD or Computer Aided Drafting and Microsoft Suite.
  • Although primarily office-based, the role will occasionally involve fieldwork.
  • Previous experience in management or supervisory roles is preferred.
  • Fundamentals of Engineering License preferred.
  • Professional Engineer License preferred.
  • Experience with PLS-CADD design preferred.
