Position Description Immediately Hiring and Seating a Class A CDL Shuttle Driver and we want the right Transfer Driver to join us at Ryder in New Bedford, MA.
Driver Positions Pay Weekly • $24 per hour • Plus 1 shift differential
Shift Details Monday to Friday • Shift: 10am to 6:30pm
Hours Per Week • 40 hours per week
Home Time • Local - Home Daily • NO WEEKENDS
Paid Training All Drivers have 24/7 Roadside Maintenance by a Ryder Trained Technician plus Service Employees fuel up our trucks at all 800 Maintenance Facilities. Route Shuttle Equipment between Ryder Customer Facilities. P&D trucks from customers yard to Ryder shops. P&D trucks for other Ryder locations. P&D parts for our shop and other Ryder locations. Road test trucks for our techs. Help support our fueler with the origination of our yard. Help support rental department with trucks transfers.
Freight Details • No Touch - Empty Trailers for Equipment Shuttle Transfer Movement • Transferring rental equipment, delivering trucks to customers, parts straight trucks, vans, day cabs, sleepers, cabovers, etc., based on what needs to be transferred.

Requirements Minimum 21 years of age • Pass a Ryder Drug Test • Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check, including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years • Pass a DOT physical • Pass a Ryder road test • Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position • Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle • 9 months experience within the past 3 years OR • 2 years experience within the last 5 years OR • 5 years experience within the last 10 years • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions • Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures

Responsibilities This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a commercial vehicle and requires compliance with safety & DOT Regulations, continuous training, and customer service. Additional Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards, and guidelines • Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards • Maintaining accurate records and logs • Other tasks as assigned
