Transactional Tax Associate

Direct Counsel represents an AmLaw 100 firm seeking a Transactional Tax Associate (3+ years) to join its Tax practice. The firm is seeking candidates coming from peer Big Law environments with strong experience in partnership, real estate (including REITs), and corporate tax matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise on transactional tax issues involving partnerships, real estate structures, REITs, and corporate transactions.
• Draft, analyze, and support tax-related components of complex deals.
• Collaborate with deal teams and provide clear, accurate client guidance.
• Manage deadlines, multitask effectively, and deliver high-quality work.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of transactional tax experience in Big Law.
• Excellent academic credentials and strong communication skills.
• Proven client service orientation and ability to manage multiple projects.
• New York Bar membership required.

Compensation

• Expected salary: $260,000
• Actual compensation will depend on experience, location, and other job-related factors.
