About the Position

First-level professional position that assists with instructional programs and courses, administers certification requirements, and administers assessments. At this level, the Training Specialist will function as an instructor to certify and recertify Mississippi State Hospitals staff in CPI, Protective Interventions, CPR, and other required certifications. Employees will be physically required to be able to transition from a laying position to a seated position, and from a seated position to a standing position. Employees will also assist with designing and creating instructional materials and evaluation instruments that measure the effectiveness of training and the achievement of instructional objectives and knowledge transfer.
