Job Title: Training Specialist 3
Job Location - Remote (must be in southern California and willing to meet at a Tech Bar for equipment pick up)
Duration - 18 months

Education Requirement

Bachelor's Degree in Education, Instructional Design, Business, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Typically, possesses seven or more years of experience developing and/or delivering training. Demonstrated ability to communicate both technical and non-technical material in a readily understandable manner.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities/Workload

  • Coordinate activities associated with the delivery of learning curriculum from needs assessment through concept, pilot, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Provide administrative support to key offerings associated with the corporate workforce development initiative.
  • Foster key relationships with HR, TAI, managers, leaders, and senior leaders corporate-wide to collaboratively assess and support workforce development.
  • Schedule courses; establish/maintain relationships with internal SMEs and external vendors; meet and support SMEs/Vendors on the day of course offerings; assist participants.
  • Provide detailed operational and logistic support to OE training functions.
  • Analyze course effectiveness based on observations/student feedback; recommend changes.
  • Develop blended learning solutions using Adobe, Acrobat, InDesign, Photoshop, Captivate, Flash, Dreamweaver, Articulate, Presenter, Engage, Quizmaker, SnagIt, web conferencing technology, or similar applications.
  • Prepare, organize, edit course material; ensure compliance with corporate/security standards.
  • Ensure a sufficient number of course participants by advertising the class as needed.
  • Effectively operate classroom technology to support classes, webinars, and meetings.
  • Proactively identify, develop, and help lead improvements to ensure effective and efficient processes.
  • Edit courseware as needed.
  • Keep abreast of training industry best practices, along with computing and IT skills, to make recommendations for improvement and apply Aerospace IT.
  • Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with colleagues, vendors, and procurement.
  • Seek opportunities to bring work unit or cross-functional teams together to share information and solve problems.
  • May train and mentor others in work processes and procedures.
  • Delivers technical training on a wide range of solution areas/technologies.
  • Develops, designs, and ensures the quality of training materials; performs in the capacity of Technical Instructional Design Lead.
  • Utilizes knowledge of training methodologies to plan and facilitate the development of training solutions that drive department or Operating Unit outcomes.
  • Monitors and documents user outcomes, needs assessment, and learning objectives.
  • Supports the implementation of training programs, delivery plans, and documentation of user outcomes.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders to understand and examine existing software and system training materials, identify gaps, and develop an organized approach to the development of training resources.
  • Contributes to the identification and design of the technical training curriculum, balancing the needs of different functions.
  • Ensures feedback is incorporated into the design, development, or facilitation of future technical training programs, and that training interventions align both learner experience and department/Operating Unit needs.
  • Conducts analyses on program effectiveness, reporting to department or Operating Unit leaders on results.
  • Provides input on documentation of programs, curriculum, and outcome objectives.

Required Skills/Attributes

  • Instructional Design Certification.
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud tools (InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere, Illustrator), Articulate Storyline, Microsoft Suite (PPT, Word, Excel).
  • Portfolio submission.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the field of Education, Instructional Design, or Graphic Design or; Five or more years of experience in supporting technical training learning initiatives.
