Job Title: Training Developer – Instructional Designer
Location: Birmingham, AL
Schedule: 40 hrs. per week with required 4 days in office

 
Summary
Seeking a senior Instructional Designer (1-10+ years) to lead enterprise training initiatives. The role designs instructor-led, eLearning, and blended learning solutions aligned with business goals, working closely with SMEs and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze training needs with SMEs and business stakeholders.
  • Design and develop ILT, eLearning, blended learning, and digital training.
  • Create Storyline/Rise modules, presentations, facilitator & participant guides, job aids, assessments, simulations, and scenario-based learning.
  • Lead instructional design projects and stakeholder reviews.
  • Perform QA/QC, LMS testing, content uploads, version control, and maintenance.
  • Track project status and communicate risks/progress.
  • Ensure accessibility, governance, and adult learning best practices.
Required Skills
  • 1-10+ years in Instructional Design/Curriculum Development.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with Articulate 360 (Storyline & Rise) (preferred); experience with other authoring tools is acceptable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Adobe Acrobat Pro, SharePoint, LMS, and voice-over tools.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, project management, QA, and organizational skills.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred) in Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology, Communications, HR, or related field (or equivalent experience).
