Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior is seeking to hire a Title to join the UCLA Integrated Substance Use and Addiction Program (ISAP). ISAP is a nationally recognized program conducting research, delivering training, and advancing evidence-based practices in substance use and addiction treatment.

You will provide both programmatic and research support, contributing to research dissemination, technology transfer initiatives, and evaluation activities for large-scale federally funded projects, including Pacific Southwest Addiction Technology Transfer Center. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Provide coordination and administrative support for training programs, research dissemination, and technology transfer initiatives
  • Prepare and submit IRB applications and ensure compliance with human subjects research requirements
  • Manage end-to-end planning and logistics for trainings, conferences, and technical assistance events, including participant recruitment and registration
  • Develop and distribute research-based training materials and presentations using current peer-reviewed literature
  • Oversee evaluation activities for all events, including data collection, analysis, and reporting on participant outcomes and program effectiveness
  • Maintain databases and tracking systems for registrations, evaluations, and program metrics
  • Coordinate continuing education (CE) approvals to ensure participants receive appropriate certification
  • Serve as liaison between program staff, participants, and external stakeholders, providing clear communication and support
  • Support financial and administrative processes, including reimbursements, reporting, and transaction tracking
  • Assist with grant submission, reporting requirements, and onboarding/training of new staff

Salary range: $29.17/hr - $56.37/hr

Required:

  • Experience interpreting research-based substance use treatment information for training/education purposes
  • Strong project tracking and reporting skills with high attention to detail
  • Proficiency in literature searches and synthesizing academic research
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills with expertise in PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, and work occasional evenings/weekends
  • Experience with reimbursement and financial tracking

Preferred:

  • Experience in substance use or behavioral health research environment
  • Knowledge of continuing education (CE) requirements across disciplines
  • Experience with CashNET or similar financial transaction systems
