Pay: $22.46 Per Hour 

Design training for the specific needs of the facility.

Schedule training in phases so that applicable standards, statutes, and policies pertaining to training are in compliance throughout every aspect of facility operations.

Deliver training in professionally developed formats to ensure, through skill-based competency testing, that employees will have the skills necessary to function competently and deliver quality services.

Maintain training files as required for continual compliance with American Correctional Association (ACA) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) standards.

Ensure all staff including contract employees and volunteers receive required training.

Establish periodic and annual review of training programs.

Oversee the maintenance and documentation of all certificates and pre-training records.

It is expected that the incumbent shall perform other duties as assigned within his/her capabilities as determined by management.

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.

One year of experience as a correctional officer/jailer is preferred.

Previous experience in designing and delivering training is preferred.

Valid driver’s license.

Occasionally responding to altercations and occasional restraining and securing assaultive offenders

Ability to respond rapidly to potential security and/or medical codes/issues

Frequent transferring and transporting offenders by walking or riding in various vehicles such as vans, buses, and other forms of transportation

Continuous periods of operating/driving company vehicles to pick up and transport offenders

Remaining awake and alert while on duty

Occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 – 100 pounds

Ability to occasionally withstand direct or indirect exposure to OC spray
