Description: Benefits Questions Job Responsibilities About Human Trafficking About Violence Against Women Act

Will serve as a member of the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) & Human Trafficking team by assisting the section with the coordination of professional trainings, presentations, and special events. Responsibilities include supporting the efforts of the South Carolina Human Trafficking Task Force in public awareness and outreach.

Assist with identifying topics and presenters for specialized trainings, securing venues, and promoting such initiatives. Assist in collecting data from events and maintain appropriate spreadsheets to monitor efforts across the state.

Will request, receive, review and process various documents for the State Task Force. Assist in the coordination of the prevention education initiative across South Carolina through outreach and organizational support.

Assist in scheduling state task force meetings as well as Task Force subcommittee meetings. Will assist with other assigned duties and projects upon request.

Collaborate with the Director, Deputy Director, Education Coordinator(s), and Program Coordinators to develop and facilitate professional, sector-specific trainings.

Publicize the trainings and presentations, assist in promoting and coordinating prevention education across the state, and ensure FOIA notices are released within certain timelines.

Assist program staff with logistics for trainings, meetings and other VAWA/HT special events. Maintain a record of all requests for public awareness presentations.

Support Task Force quarterly meetings, TF subcommittee meetings, SARTs, DVCCs and other meetings as needed.

In collaboration with the Program Coordinators, manage requests for posters, brochures and other outreach materials. Keep record of number of items disseminated.

Assist Graphic Designer with requests for printed materials. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum and Additional Requirements:

A bachelor's degree with experience working in the anti-human trafficking field and/or VAWA related programs.

Additional Requirements:

Position may require overnight travel, work on evenings and weekends. Position requires a valid drivers license and frequent driver duties. Position may be required to transport files, and position requires frequent stooping and/or bending.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience with the coordination of training and/or special events preferred. Must be attentive to detail and have excellent written, verbal and electronic communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills, work well as a team member, be professional and discreet and work independently under limited supervision. Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Requires excellent organizational skills. Previous experience in and working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. Knowledge of Adobe preferred. Must have the ability to learn new software. Some travel required.
