At Flock & Fresh, taking care isn’t optional — it’s our responsibility. To our food. To our people. To every guest.
We believe great food reflects care - prepared with attention, consistency, and pride, even when it’s busy.
As a Trainer, you play an important role in helping Team Members learn, understand, and consistently execute Flock & Fresh standards. Trainers are experienced Team Members who model the right way to work, communicate, serve, prepare food, and support the team. This role is hands-on and operational. Trainers actively work in position while helping guide new and developing Team Members through station expectations, service standards, food safety procedures, and daily responsibilities. Trainers are not responsible for leading the shift, issuing discipline, handling manager-level guest escalations, or making employment decisions; however, they are expected to support the Shift Manager and leadership team by reinforcing standards, setting a strong example, and communicating training progress or concerns.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Train new and developing Team Members on assigned stations, procedures, and operational standards
- Model Flock & Fresh standards through consistent food preparation, service, cleanliness, and communication
- Support hands-on training in food prep, cooking, assembly, guest service, order accuracy, and station readiness
- Help Team Members understand recipes, procedures, food safety expectations, and brand standards
- Reinforce proper station setup, opening duties, closing duties, cleaning procedures, and equipment care
- Provide calm, respectful, real-time guidance when Team Members need support or correction
- Work alongside Team Members during service while helping maintain pace, accuracy, and quality
- Protect food quality, safety, consistency, and guest experience at all times
- Communicate training progress, concerns, or follow-up needs to the Shift Manager, Assistant General Manager, or General Manager
- Support a positive training environment where Team Members feel respected, prepared, and accountable
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and operational standards consistently
- Maintain clean, organized, and guest-ready work areas
- Step into Team Member responsibilities as needed to support smooth operations
- Show up on time, prepared, and ready to train, support, and contribute to the team
- Food Handler certification required prior to beginning in-store work
Culture & Brand Responsibility
Trainers are expected to actively protect the culture and standards of Flock & Fresh through how they teach, support, and lead by example.
This includes:
- Treating training as an act of care, not simply a checklist
- Teaching standards clearly, respectfully, and consistently
- Modeling the behavior, urgency, cleanliness, and attention to detail expected from Team Members
- Supporting Team Members who are still learning with patience and professionalism
- Reinforcing standards without sarcasm, intimidation, or disrespect
- Communicating concerns to leadership rather than creating conflict or confusion on the floor
- Helping create a team environment that feels steady, respectful, and accountable
- Ensuring care shows up in your actions, communication, and follow-through
How you train others directly impacts the strength, consistency, and culture of the team.

Schedule & Environment
Trainers are responsible for following established food safety procedures and protecting food quality and guest experience at all times.
This role requires working in environments where food products, allergens, cleaning chemicals, and temperature variations are present. The role also requires the ability to stand and move for extended periods and to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds with assistance when available.
Flock & Fresh prepares food in a shared restaurant environment using raw ingredients and common allergens, including wheat, dairy, eggs, soy, sesame, and other allergens. While strict food safety procedures are followed, cross-contact may occur due to shared equipment, preparation areas, and handling processes.
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions in accordance with applicable law.
