Position Description
The Resilient Communities Training Coordinator will report directly to the Resilient Communities and PACEs Education Program Manager, playing a crucial role in supporting the implementation of initiatives aimed at addressing Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and promoting Positive Childhood Experiences (PCEs) within Davidson County. This position will primarily focus on coordinating, organizing, and supporting community training related to PACEs, resilience, trauma-informed practices, and behavioral health initiatives in the reduction of opioid use and misuse. The coordinator will ensure that all training and educational materials are culturally responsive, accessible, community-informed, and delivered in a timely and effective manner to diverse audiences across Davidson County.
This position is critical in helping the program respond to the growing community demand for PACEs, resilience, and trauma-informed training across Davidson County while maintaining high-quality and culturally responsive educational offerings.
The Training Coordinator will be a dynamic and detail-oriented leader who can facilitate the day-to-day training and educational needs of the PACEs and Resilient Communities program and the Behavioral Health and Wellness Division at Metro Public Health Department. This role will support collaboration with community partners, trainers, and stakeholders to strengthen the consistency, quality, and reach of resilience-building and prevention education efforts throughout the community.
Typical Duties
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited (4) four-year college or university and one (1) year of responsible, full-time employment in public administration, business administration, public health administration, public health sanitation, public health nursing, public health education, or other appropriate field
or
One (1) year of graduate study in public health administration, public administration, or health education may be substituted for one (1) year of experience
or
A minimum of seven (7) years of increasingly responsible experience in the areas of public health administration, public administration, public health sanitation, or business administration, of which at least one (1) year within the past three (3) years must have been in an administrative or supervisory capacity.

Do you have a bachelor's degree and two (2) years of experience in public health, social work, behavioral health, or a related field?
