Position Summary:
Performs journey level work in the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical and electronically controlled traffic signal control devices. Incumbents work independently and exercise skilled judgment in the performance of assigned duties. Instructions may be oral or written and are often accompanied by sketches and blueprints. Work is supervised by the Traffic Signal Maintenance Supervisor and is checked against the performance of equipment installed, repaired, or maintained. Some positions provide training to other Traffic Signal Technicians.
