We are seeking a seasoned and highly motivated Permanent Traffic Project Manager to join our dynamic Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Traffic Analysis and a passion for developing innovative solutions to complex traffic and transportation challenges. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead and manage traffic engineering projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of traffic engineering projects, from initial planning and design through to implementation and completion.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and coordinate traffic engineering projects from inception to completion.
  • Utilize advanced traffic analysis tools and techniques to develop innovative solutions to complex traffic and transportation challenges.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of engineers, designers, planners, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Oversee the preparation of traffic impact studies, traffic operations analyses, and other technical reports.
  • Develop and implement project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Ensure all traffic engineering projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with applicable regulations and standards.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Continuously monitor and report on project progress, risks, and issues.
  • Promote and maintain a culture of safety, quality, and excellence within the team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in traffic engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license and Professional Traffic Operations Engineer certification is preferred.
  • Extensive experience in traffic analysis, including the use of advanced traffic analysis tools and techniques.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing traffic engineering projects from inception to completion.
  • Strong understanding of traffic engineering principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications, such as VISSIM, Synchro, MicroStation, and traffic simulation software.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and excellence in all aspects of work.
